USS Lexus NCC-74566

From stem to stern, the Intrepid-class starship is one of the most advanced in Starfleet. The class employs a new warp core design, variable-geometry pylons that reduced damage to subspace that allowed it to travel beyond the Federation Science Council's recommended speed-limit of warp 5, and the first to field both bioneural gel packs and the Emergency Medical Hologram system.

Nearly three-hundred-fifty meters long, the Intrepid-class is built sleek and long, sporting the fastest top speed on record for a Starfleet vessel with the exception of the newer Sovereign and Prometheus-class cruisers. The Intrepid-class serves multiple functions based on its load out and size, ranging from patrol or escort duty to long-range exploration or survey. State of the art computer systems give the class unprecedented storage capacity, access speed, and rigor conditioning. This, combined with a wide array of sensors covering a large amount of the exposed surface, makes the Intrepid-class a premier ship of the line for Starfleet's scientific endeavors.

The USS Lexus was constructed on the holodeck of The USS Voyager by Chad Dodds and JR Kirk. After a strange energy pulse struck Voyager, the Lexus was tossed out of the holodeck and into space. Beside Voyager, the two ships looked identical. However the inside of the Lexus is strangely different. The ship is the same size as Voyager with 15 decks. Unlike Voyager, the Lexus is capable of maximum speed of Warp 15. 1 full deck is dedicated to Borg technology, and the entire ship has holotechnology. The crew of 148 are all holo-clones of real people. The Lexus boasts an armament of 20 Type-10 phaser arrays with 10 Photon torpedo tubes, six tricobalt devices and the imagined 13 Hyperphase arrays. Along with the standard deflector shields, Lexus boasts a 15 inch diamond armor, transphasic torpedoes and an ablative armor generator which protects the ship from such things as Borg Technology. Unlike any other Federation ship, Lexus has the same cloaking device used by the Romulans thanks to Voyager's extensive computer files. However, the Lexus cloaking device does not work when the ship is utilizing it's slipstream drive. With the slipstream drive, Lexus can achieve a warp factor of 50 and sustain it almost indefinately. The problem of slipstream drive technology was solved by the crew of Voyager. Lexus uses the same form of technology, adopted from Voyager. In a sense, Voyager is the mother ship that spawned Lexus.
