From stem to stern, the Intrepid-class starship is one of the most advanced in Starfleet. The class employs a new warp core design, variable-geometry pylons that reduced damage to subspace that allowed it to travel beyond the Federation Science Council's recommended speed-limit of warp 5, and the first to field both bioneural gel packs and the Emergency Medical Hologram system.
The USS Lexus A was constructed after it was found that modifications to the original Lexus were impossible. The ship contains Arminian Armor with an ablative armor generator, transphasic torpedos, hyperphaser arrays, standard torpedos and phasers, thirteen tricobalt devices, deflector shields with harmonic modulators, slipstream drive and the entire ship is holo capable.
