SKYLER THOMAS LIVE!
Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney, Australia

The crowd was chanting his name as Skyler stood just off-stage, waiting for his queue to get on stage. His family along with all of his friends were seated in the front row, and he felt that familiar tingle run through him as he started up the stage steps. The spotlights weren't on yet, so only the first few rows of people even knew that he'd taken the stage. He walked to the center of the stage as Frank and David joined him. The music started, and the lights came on as the crowd screamed.

"Dizzy," he, David and Frank sang together as the crowd roared.

"I'm so dizzy my head is spinning. Like a whorl pool it never ends, and its you, girl, making it spin. You're making me Dizzy!" he sang with Frank and David as they danced around the front of the stage.

"First time that I saw you girl I knew that I just had to make you mine. But its so hard to talk to you with fellas hanging round you all the time," he sang and then stepped in front of Frank and David.

"I want you for my sweet pet, but you keep playin hard to get. Goin' round in circles all the time," he sang as David and Frank stepped up beside him.

"Dizzy!

"I'm so dizzy my head is spinning. Like a whorl pool it never ends, and its you, girl, making it spin. You're making me Dizzy!" they sang together before launching into their dance routine as the music played.

"I finally got to talk to you, and I told you just exactly how I felt. Then I held you close to me and kissed you, and my heart began to melt,

"Girl you got control of me, 'cause I'm so dizzy I can't see. I need to call a doctor for some help," he sang once their dance routine had ended and they'd lined up side by side.

"Dizzy!

"I'm so dizzy my head is spinning. Like a whorl pool it never ends, and its you, girl, making it spin. You're making me Dizzy! My head is spinning, and its you girl making it spin. Like a whorl pool it never ends. You're making me Dizzy!" they sang together, and the music stopped.

He stepped to the front of the stage, and all but the spotlight shining on him was turned down. He smiled at JC and his family in the front row, wiping sweat from his brow. The feeling of being on stage again was like nothing he could ever imagine. He loved the connection with the audience and couldn't wait to tour again. He couldn't believe he'd fought it so hard.

"SYDNEY!" he cried, and the crowd screamed again. "Let me HEAR you, Sydney! Do you want more?"

The crowd screamed again, and the music began to play. The cheering was thundrous as the crowd recognized the music, and Skyler got ready for the song. He lined up with Frank and David again.

"I dream of rain, aye lay, aye lay. I dream of gardens in the desert sand. I wake in pain, aye lay, aye lay. I dream of love as time runs through my hand,

"I dream of fire, aye lay, aye lay. These dreams are tied to a horse that will never tire, and in the flames, aye lay, aye lay, her shadows play in the shape of a man's desire,

"This desert rose, aye lay, aye lay. Each of her veils, a secret promise. This desert flower, aye lay, aye lay. No sweet perfume ever tortured me more than this," he sang as the crowd screamed and sang along with him.

"And as she turns, aye lay, aye lay, this way she moves in the logic of all my dreams. This fire burns, aye lay, aye lay. I realize that nothing's as it seems,

"I dream of rain, aye lay, aye lay. I dream of gardens in the desert sand. I wake in vain, aye lay, aye lay. I dream of love as time runs through my hand,

"I dream of rain, aye lay, aye lay. I lift my gaze to empty skies above. I close my eyes, and the rare perfume is the sweet intoxication of her love," he sang as they lined up for their dance routine as the musical break in the song played.

The crowd screamed every time they reached the edge of the stage, and Skyler let the feeling of power radiating from the audience wash over him. He was determined to give them an amazing show tonight, and this was only the beginning.

"I dream of rain, aye lay, aye lay. I dream of gardens in the desert sand. I wake in vain, aye lay, aye lay. I dream of love as time runs through my hand,

"Sweet desert rose, aye lay, aye lay. Each of her veils, a secret promise. This desert flower, aye lay, aye lay. No sweet perfume ever tortured me more than this,

"Sweet desert rose, aye lay, aye lay. This memory of Eden haunts us all. This desert flower, this rare perfume, is the sweet intoxication of the fall," he sang as the music changed slightly to begin the next song.

"Keep the faith, come and take me away. I'll wait for you here every day. Wanna run with you and be wild and free. No place on Earth that I'd rather be. Come and take my hand, show me the way to a place where love is the only way. I kept my promise and loved you forever. No one takes your place in my heart ever," he sang as the crowd screamed again.

"Come and take me away to a better place. I want to feel your arms, look into your face. Love me now, let me feel your body close to mine. It would be easy and you could be kind. Let me know the awesome enormity of your instant eternity. Instant eternity," they sang together and then broke apart until Skyler was standing at the front of the stage again.

"I wait for you in the same place where you showed me love and beautiful grace. Let me be with you wherever you are. I can love you better by far. Come and take my hand, show me the way to a place where love is the only way. Don't keep me waiting, don't let me down. Just come for me and we'll get around," he sang as David and Frank moved forward to join him once again for the chorus.

"Come and take me away to a better place. I want to feel your arms, look into your face. Love me now, let me feel your body close to mine. It would be easy and you could be kind. Let me know the awesome enormity of your instant eternity. Instant eternity," they sang together, making the crowd roar again.

"I want to know love, I want to know you. Show me what I have to do. To be with you every single day. Come and take my hand, show me the way. I want to be your love, your bread of life. We can make it if only we begin to try. I can love you like that, and then you'll see. Just what a wonderful thing we could be," he sang alone before the others joined him again.

"Come and take me away to a better place. I want to feel your arms, look into your face. Love me now, let me feel your body close to mine. It would be easy and you could be kind. Let me know the awesome enormity of your instant eternity. Instant eternity," they sang together, and the crowd screamed as Skyler leaned out over the edge of the stage.

"Instant eternity," he sang as the crowd roared at him.

"Come and take me away to a better place. I want to feel your arms, look into your face. Love me now, let me feel your body close to mine. It would be easy and you could be kind. Let me know the awesome enormity of your instant eternity. Instant eternity," they sang together, and the music stopped.

Frank and David walked to the back of the stage as Skyler took a seat on the stool that they'd left for him at the front of the stage. The music started, and the lights went down until only one spotlight was shining down on him. He began to sway back and forth with the music.

"I realize you’re seeing someone new. I don’t believe he knows you like I do. Your temperamental moody side, the one you always try to hide from me," he sang and the crowd screamed again.

"But I know when you have some thing on your mind. You’ve been trying to tell me for the longest time. And before you break my heart in two, there’s something I’ve been trying to say to you,

"But the words get in the way. There’s so much I want to say, but it’s locked deep inside and if you look in my eyes, we might fall in love again. I won’t even start to cry, and before we say goodbye, I tried to say I love you, but the words got in the way," he sang and smiled at the crowd as the music played on without him for a moment.

"Your heart has always been an open door, but baby I don’t even know you any more. And despite the fact it’s hurting me, I know the time has come to set you free,

"But the words get in the way. There’s so much I want to say, but it’s locked deep inside and if you look in my eyes, we might fall in love again. I won’t even start to cry, and before we say goodbye, I tried to say I love you, but the words got in the way," he sang, putting his head back and letting the music play for one beat.

"I’m trying to say I love you, but the words get in the way," he sang as the music stopped and the crowd roared.

The lights went down completely, and Skyler left the stage to change into his costume for the next song. David and Frank were already changed, and as he came back through the flaps of the tent that served as his dressing room, David handed him his white top hat. They took the stage, and the music started again.

"If I could turn the page in time then I’d rearrange just a day or two," he sang, making the crowd scream again.

"Close my, close my, close my eyes," sang Frank and David.

"But I couldn’t find a way, so I’ll settle for one day to believe in you," he sang.

"Tell me, tell me, tell me lies," he sang with Frank and David, before they lined up and began to dance.

"Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies," they sang.

"Tell me lies, tell me, tell me lies," sang David, and the crowd sang with him.

"Oh, no, no you can’t disguise," they sang together.

"You can’t disguise, no you can’t disguise," sang David along with the crowd again.

"Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies," they sang together before separating again as Skyler stepped forward and they stepped back, still dancing without stopping.

"Although I’m not making plans, I hope that you understand there’s a reason why," he sang.

"Close your, close your, close your eyes," sang David and Frank.

"No more broken hearts. We’re better off apart let’s give it a try. Tell me, tell me, tell me lies," he sang as David and Fank stepped forward to join him again.

"Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies," they sang together.

"If I could turn the page, in time then I’d rearrange just a day or two," he sang.

"Close my, close my, close my eyes," sang David and Frank.

"But I couldn’t find a way, so I’ll settle for one day to believe in you," he sang.

"Tell me, tell me, tell me lies," they sang together.

"Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies," they sang together, and the music stopped.

"You want more?" cried Skyler as he stepped up to the front of the stage again. "I said, do you want more?"

The crowd screamed as the music started again, and Skyler sat back down on the stool left my David as he and Frank made their way to the back of the stage again.

"No one knows what it’s like to be the bad man; to be the sad man behind blue eyes," he sang, and the crowd screamed.

"No one knows what it’s like to be hated; to be fated to telling only lies," he sang as David and Frank stepped up behind him.

"But my dreams, they aren’t as empty as my conscience seems to be. I have hours, only lonely. My love is vengeance that’s never free," they sang together with David and Frank singing the harmony.

"No one knows what it’s like to feel these feelings like I do, and I blame you," he sang, pointing at the crowd.

"No one bites back as hard on their anger. None of my pain and woe can show through," he sang.

"But my dreams, they aren’t as empty as my conscience seems to be. I have hours, only lonely. My love is vengeance that’s never free," they sang together with David and Frank singing the harmony again.

"No one knows what it’s like to feel these feelings like I do, and I blame you," he sang, pointing at the crowd again, making them scream louder.

"No one knows what it’s like to be hated; to be fated to telling only lies. And no one knows what it’s like to feel these feelings like I do, and I blame you," he sang softly as the music stopped again.

The lights went down again, and Frank and David left the stage to get changed again. Skyler stood up as a piano was wheeled out onto the stage. He took a seat behind it and began to play as the crowd cheered again.

"Thought I heard your voice yesterday. I couldn't think of anything to say. Your memory leaves my heart shaken. Its been a year since you were taken. Life without you is dark and cold. My heart breaks every time our story's told. I wonder how I can ever be free. And if your memory will ever just let me be," he sang as the crowd sang along.

"Just leave me alone and let me live my life, and don't pretend you don't realize what the sound of your voice can do to my heart. Just looking at you tears me apart," he sang, putting as much emotion into his voice as he could.

"My friends think I should go out again. Then your face comes to mind and I can't say when. Without you, my life is an emotional waste land, remembering only the touch of your hand. Hours go by and I stare off into space, just clutching the memory of your face," the crowd sang along with him.

"Just leave me alone and let me live my life. I can't go on like this and you know its not right. Being without you is breaking my heart. Thinking of you tears me apart," his sorrow filled voice soared out. James and Mitch began to play the violin section of the song, accompanying Skyler's piano.

"I'm here again to talk to you. I wonder what the hell I'm gonna do. I know that I have to get over you/ My problem is that I just don't have a clue how to rid my mind of fact that you're gone. So now to you, I sing this song," he sang as the crowd grew silent.

"Just leave me alone and let me live my life. I can't let go of you and that's not right. Memories of you are breaking my heart. Talking about you tears me apart," he sang with his best hauting vocie.

"Are you listening? Can you hear me? You've got to break these chains and let me be. I can't go on like this every day Life has to go on some way," he sang as the violins pierced his heart with their sorrow filled sound.

"Why won't you leave me alone and let me live my life. Your memory cuts through me just like a knife. I can't go on with this broken heart. Missing you tears me apart. Just leave me alone and let me live my life, and don't pretend you don't realize what missing you does to my heart. Being without you tears me apart," he sang as the lights went down again.

Skyler left the stage as the piano was wheeled away. He rushed to his tent to change into his next costume. There was no time for make-up, but he got into the clothes he'd worn in the final scene of Anger before heading back out to the stage for his acapella version of the next song. He stepped up to the front of the stage, and the spotlight shined down on him.

"Your friends may lie, the truth can come from strangers. If I knew why we wouldn't be in this danger. Leaning out the window of my car, and wishing on another lucky star,

"Life is long. It is not made to measure. You will go on the same in pain and pleasure. Wondering how we ever got this far by wishing on another lucky star,

"Life goes on as sure as the sky. It's come and gone in the wink of an eye. You leave your hope on the wings of a lie: 'You will never die',

"The world is cold. A heart gets torn and tattered. The one you hold, it can be dropped and shattered. Leaning out the window of my car, and wishing on another lucky star,

"Life goes on as sure as the sky. It's come and gone in the wink of an eye. You leave your hope on the wings of a lie: 'You will never die' Leaning out the window of my car, and wishing on another lucky star. There's a car outside . . ."

The crowd roared as soon as Skyler stopped singing. He breathed a huge sigh of relief, knowing that they loved his rendition of the song. He'd agonized over singing it that way, but it had paid off. He stepped back as the lights came on again.

"Sydney," he cried, making them scream again. "Its time to give a round of cheers for the band! On drums, Paul Krantz! On keyboards, Chet Brinkman and Denny Hall! On bass, James Rothland! And on guitars, Mitch Simmons and Adam Stahl! Give them a huge round of applaus, everyone. Without these guys, I wouldn't have a show!"

The music started, and the crowd cheered. David and Frank joined him on stage, and toghether they began to dance. Skyler checked his headset again, and then they danced to the front of the stage.

"Moving moving," the three sang together, making the crowd roar again.

"Move away," the crowd screamed.

"Spirit changed the conversation. Stepping stones across the land. I never wanted to be a hero. I never wanted to be a man,

"I hurt you darling. I made you cry. I hurt you darling. Don’t ask me why,

"Move move move away from me darling, I never said I’d hold your hand. Move move move away from me darling, I never said I’d understand. If I could say this was judgment day, you know I’d be a millionaire," he sang, dacing around with David and Frank.

"I’m prepared to wear my sorrow verywhere we go in town. Ain’t no need to beg or borrow while you’re there to drage me down," he sang.

"Justice, right?" roared the crowd, and Skyler smiled.

"I need you so. I can’t let go. I never said I’d hold your hand. Why don’t you move?" Skyler sang.

"Move move move away from me darling, I never said I’d hold your hand. Move move move away from me darling, I never said I’d understand. If I could say this was judgment day, you know I’d be a millionaire," he sang, dacing around with David and Frank.

"Move move move away from me darling. I never wanted to be a hero. Move move move away from me darling, I never wanted to be your man,

"Move move move away from me darling, I never said I’d hold your hand. Move move move away from me darling, I never said I’d understand. If I could say this was judgment day, you know I’d be a millionaire," he sang and the music stopped again.

"Let's step it up a little," cried Skyler as he and the dancers lined up again. "Come on!"

The music's tempo changed, and the crowd screamed as they recognized the song. Skyler, David and Frank danced in line as the musical queue played.

"Come on let's go people. GET UP! and move your feet to the music in your soul. How far will you go? they sang together as most of the crowd sang along.

"In the clubs the beat gets under your skin. Dancers shake there bodies letting the music in. Let's GET UP! and do this. Show me where your soul is. I know that I can make you move. I know just what I have to do,

"Come on let's go people. GET UP! and move your feet to the music in your soul. Feel the beat and just let go," they sang together.

"When the music gets inside you, your feet know just what to do. Let the rhythm move your body. GET UP! and start this party, Rock your body, move your feet. Let your body feel the beat," he sang as he danced.

"Come on let's go people. GET UP! and move your feet to the music in your soul. How far will you go?" they sang together.

"Come on let's go people. GET UP! you know what to do. Let the music fill your soul. GET UP! and lets go! I know you hear this music. GET UP! and just prove it. Move your body to the beat, and soon you'll feel the heat. Just move with you feet with me. Don't worry soon you'll see," he sang/

"Come on let's go people. GET UP! and move your feet to the music in your soul. Feel the beet and just let go," they sang together.

"Come on let's go people. GET UP! you know what to do. Let the music fill your soul. GET UP! and let's go," he sang.

"GET UP!" the crowd screamed.

"Come on let's go people. GET UP! and move your feet to the music in your soul. How far will you go?" they sang together and the music stopped.

The band began to play again almost as soon as they stopped, and Skyler moved around the stage to line up with Frank and David again. The crowd was chanting again, and Skyler let the feeling of it soak into him for a minute before he stepped up and started to sing again. His throat wasn't hurting him, so all was well so far.

"I'm just a simple man in a high tech digital land. I really try to understand all the powers that rule this land. They say Mister Man's big butt is boss. A poor man can't find a job. In a world of post modern fad what was good now is bad,

"It's not hard to understand. Just follow this simple plan,

"Follow your heart, your intuition. It will lead you in the right direction. Let go of your mind, your intuition. It's easy to find. Just follow your heart baby," he sang, and the crowd screamed again.

"You look at me, but you're not quite sure. Am I it or could you get more? You learned cool from magazines. You learned love from the wrong scene,

"If you want me let me know. I promise I won't say no,

"Follow your heart, your intuition. It will lead you in the right direction. Let go of your mind, your intuition. It's easy to find. Just follow your heart baby," he sang, letting the roar of the crowd vibrate through him as he moved across the stage, nailing each of the dance steps they'd been rehearsing.

"You got something that you want me to sell. Sell your sin. Just cash in. You got something that you want me to tell. You'll love me. Wait and see,

"If you want me, don't play games. I promise it won't be in vain," he sang.

"Uh-uh-uh," they chanted together, thrusting their pelvises out as Paul punctuated each 'uh' with the drums.

"Follow your heart, your intuition. It will lead you in the right direction. Let go of your mind, your intuition. It's easy to find. Just follow your heart baby. Just follow your heart, your intiution. It will lead you in the right direction. Let go of your mind, your intuition. Just follow your heart baby. Follow your heart, your intuition. It will lead you in the right direction," he sang and the music stopped again.

He followed David and Frank off the stage to the tents to change again. This time he put on a three piece suit, let Anita, the hairstylist slick his hair back and took off his head set. Anita handed him a hand helled microphone as he left the tent and headed back to the stage. He sat down on the stool again, and let Chet play the beginning of the song that had the crowd cheering again.

"I’ve had enough of danger, and people on the streets. I’m looking out for angels just trying to find some peace. Now I think it’s time that you let me know. So if you love me, say you love me. But if you don’t just let me go," he sang, standing up and walking to the front of the stage.

"’cos teacher, there are things that I don’t want to learn, and the last one I had made me cry. So I don’t want to learn to hold you, touch you. think that you’re mine. Because it ain’t no joy for an uptown boy whose teacher has told him goodbye," he sang.

"When you were just a stranger, and I was at your feet. I didn’t feel the danger. Now I feel the heat. That look in your eyes, telling me no. So you think that you love me; know that you need me. I wrote the song, I know it’s wrong. Just let me go,

"And teacher, there are things that I don’t want to learn. Oh the last one I had made me cry. So I don’t want to learn to hold you, touch you, think that you’re mine. Because it ain’t no joy for an uptown boy whose teacher has told him goodbye, goodbye, goodbye,

"So when you say that you need me; that you’ll never leave me. I know you’re wrong, you’re not that strong. Let me go," he sang.

"And teacher there are things that I still have to learn. But the one thing I have is my pride. Oh so I don’t want to hold you, touch you, think that you’re mine. Because there ain’t no joy for an uptown boy who just ins't willing to try. I’m so cold inside. Maybe just one more try," he sang and the music stopped.

Skyler left the stage again to change, and David and Frank danced in the center of the stage to the music. The crowd was screaming still, and Skyler loved the feeling it gave him. He was a bundle of energy as he dressed in his soldier's uniform and headed back to the stage. He watched them dance around in their own uniforms as the music slowly began to change again.

"Step by step, heart to heart, left right left, we all fall down like toy soldiers," they sang and the spotlight shined on Skyler as he took the stage between them.

"It wasn't my intention to mislead you. It never chould have been this way. What can I say? It's true, I did extend the invitation, I never knew how long you'd stay,

"When you hear temptation call, it's your heart that takes, takes a fall. Won't you come out and play with me?" he sang.

"Step by step, heart to heart, left right left, we all fall down like toy soldiers. Bit by bit torn apart, we never win, but the battle wages on for toy soldiers," they sang together.

"It's getting hard to wake up in the morning. My head is spinning constantly. How can it be? How could I be so blind to this addiction? If I don't stop the next one's gonna be me,

"Only emptiness remains, it replaces all, all the pain. Won't you come out and play with me?" he sang.

"Step by step, heart to heart, left right left, we all fall down like toy soldiers. Bit by bit torn apart, we never win, but the battle wages on for toy soldiers," they sang together and began to move around the stage as the musical break played on.

"Only emptiness remains, it replaces all, all the pain. Won't you come out and Play with me?" he sang once he heard the musical queue.

"Step by step, heart to heart, left right left, we all fall down like toy soldiers. Bit by bit torn apart, we never win, but the battle wages on for toy soldiers. Step by step, heart to heart, left right left, we all fall down like toy soldiers. Bit by bit torn apart, we never win, but the battle wages on for toy soldiers," they sang, and the music stopped again.

"Good night, Sydney! I love you!" he cried as he, David and Frank left the stage.

Skyler had one final song to sing, and David and Frank wouldn't be on stage for that one. He quickly got into his costume for Ran al'Thor and let Anita put the hair extensions in. Once they were both satisfied, he went back out on stage to the thunderous cheering of the audience. As planned, Devon, Toby, Neve, Shannon, Catherine and Billy Zane stepped onto the stage in thier full costumes and makeup as well. They lined up on stage, and the crowd roared.

"I have one more song for you tonight," he said, smiling at the crowd. "I asked my friends to come up here and give me a hand with it."

Though none of them were going to actually sing until the very end of the song, they all took their places and waited for the music to begin. Skyler walked to the front of the stage and looked out at the crowd. When the music started, he tested his head set again.

"I don't know if any of you have heard, but I'm filming a movie," he said, making the crowd cheer again. "I wrote a song for the movie, and I thought I'd bring my friends out here to help me sing it for you."

The crowd chanted his name, and he looked back at the others as they each nodded at him. He smiled at the front row again and then started to sing.

"I thought my life was already complete. Maybe I've been to blind to see. The truth inside my soul. That's waiting for me to show if what they say about me is true
I know what they want me to do, but the eye of the world is on me now, expecting things of me and letting me down," he sang as the crowd swayed back and forth to the music of the song.

"All I am is hard to see. This is only a part of me. What you want me to show. Where you want me to go. Just remember I'm more than what you see when you depend on just a part of me," he sang, and the crowd screamed again.

"Monsters roam the world today. All I want to remember is yesterday. Am I ready for all of the glory now? The man inside can't even show me how. If this is where my destiny lies, with battles waged across the sky. Love and loss are now my path. A life once lived so far in the past," he sang, putting his head back after the final note.

"All I am is hard to see. This is only a part of me. What you want me to show. Where you want me to go. Just remember I'm more than what you see when you depend on just a part of me," he sang, sitting down at the edge of the stage and making the crowd roar again.

"Will I make it to the final duel; a battle waged at Shayol Ghul. The dark one waits to strike me down. Fear turns the wheel around. Ages come and pass along the wheel. Do I believe that any of this is real? The dragon reborn will seal his plight, blast him back into the blight," he sang as the others picked up their microphones and prepared to sing along.

"All I am is hard to see. This is only a part of me. What you want me to show. Where you want me to go. Just remember I'm more than what you see when you depend on just a part of me," they sang together, and the crowd screamed.

"This is just a part of me," he sang alone, and the lights went down as the music stopped.
