SKYLER THOMAS LIVE!
Chiba Marine Stadium in Tokyo, Japan
INDESTRUCTABLE World Tour

The crowd screamed as the dancers made their way out onto the stage. Huge pillars held up the giant cover of a mock tabloid with lights surrounding it. Skyler's picture was on the cover and the words "Pop Star" were splashed across his glaring face. The dancers danced around, rotating their pelvises and grabbing their crotches, making the crowd scream as Skyler was lowered onto the stage on a lighted platform.

"TOKYO!" he screamed at them and they screamed and pulsed. "Are you ready?"

He listened to them scream until he was far enough down to step off the platform and onto the stage. He joined the dancers in their gyrating dance as the music began to play a different beat. The crowd screamed when they recognized the song and Skyler smiled. This was it. The show had started.

"This rag, that rag. All of 'em have somethin' to say!" he cried, bumping and grinding with the dancers and thrilling the audience. "Just rumor, just a lie. A different tale about me every day. Some even say that I'm just crazy in my head! They won't stop talkin' 'bout me 'till I'm dead!"

Kaleb and Jeff stepped up on either side of him and they bounced back and forth to the music in unison. The lights began to strobe and the dancers fell in behind them as they each prepared to sing.

"Its not your business who I choose to love!" they sang together. "Its not your business where I choose to go. Its not your business what I eat at every meal. Its not your business. Oh, its just unreal! Its not your business."

They all pulled the tabloid magazines out of their waistbands and began to dance, holding the rags up for the audience to see. Skyler held a larger one than the dancers and he danced just in front of them all as he held it up.

"Yesterday I heard I was gay!" he screamed, and the audience roared. "Different story, another lover every day. Image is only part of me. Guess you're just too blind to see. I'm me and no one else!"

"Its not your business who I choose to love!" they screamed at the audience. "Its not your business where I choose to go. Oh, its not your business what I eat at every meal. Its so unreal. Its not your business!"

"I shouldn't care what two-bit writers have to say," he sang, breaking away from the formation of dancers and heading toward the front of the stage, making the audience scream louder. "But everywhere I go it seems they're always in my way. Can't have a friend around, because they'll all speculate. I wish that all you liars would just go the Hell away. I'm doing my thing and this is what I get in return; lies and rumors everywhere making my anger burn!"

"Its not your business who I choose to love," they sang, coming together again. "Its not your business where I choose to go. Oh, I said its not your business which bed my shoes are under. Its not your business so just go find another. Its not your business. You hear what I'm sayin'? Its not your business."

They stopped as one with the music and the crowd screamed. Skyler walked around the group of dancers, taking their tabloids from them as he made his way through them all. "You see these?" he screamed, holding them up high over his head. "These guys nearly killed me!"

The crowd roared at him and he threw the tabloids behind him. He danced around as the dancers remained still. The music throbbed and he moved his body with it just as he'd rehearsed. He danced his way back to the head of the group and thrust his pelvis out over and over again as the crowd screamed.

"You want it?" he screamed at them. "Then get up!"

The crowd screamed again as the music changed and the dancers began to move with Skyler. The spread out and formed a line nearly all the way across the stage.

"Come on let's go people, GET UP! and move your feet to the music in your soul. How far will you go?" they all sang together.

"In the clubs the beat gets under your skin. Dancers shake their bodies letting the music in. Let's GET UP! and do this. Show me where your soul is. I know that I can make you move. I know just what to do," he sang as they danced.

"Come on let's go people, GET UP! and move your feet to the music in your soul. Feel the beat and just let go!" they sang together.

"When the music gets inside you your feet know what to do. Let the rhythm move your body. GET UP! and start this party. Rock your body, move your feet. Let your body feel the beat," he sang, dancing around in front of the line of dancing men.

"Come on let's go people, GET UP! and move your feet to the music in your soul. How far will you go? Come on let's go people, GET UP! you know what to do. Let the music fill your soul. GET UP! and let's go!"

They danced around in circles around each other as the music throbbed. Lights began to strobe on and off again as what looked like sparks hung in the air above them. The crowd screamed and Skyler loved the feel of it. This was what he'd worked so hard for. This feeling was unlike anything else in the world. To hell with everyone that said he wasn't ready. This was living. This was what it was all about.

"I know you hear this music," he sang. "GET UP! and just prove it. Move your body to the beat, and soon you'll feel the heat. Just move your feet with me. Don't worry, soon you'll see."

"Come on let's go people, GET UP! and move your feet to the music in your soul. Feel the beat and just let go. Come on let's go people, GET UP! you know what to do. Let the music fill your soul. GET UP! and let's go!" they sang together.

"GET UP!" screamed the crowd before Skyler could and he laughed.

"Come on let's go people, GET UP! and move your feet to the music in your soul. How far will you go?" he sang and the music stopped. The lights went out and the crowd screamed.

"That was fucking awesome, Sky!" cried Carlos when Skyler and the dancers got off the stage. "Jesus!"

"Like that?" Skyler chuckled. "There's a lot more to come."

He made his way to his dressing room and changed into the black costume for the next two songs. He could already hear James Rothland pounding out the bass on his guitar. He quickly got dressed, laced his boots and headed back out the door. Carlos was standing near the door that would take him back up to the stage. He patted his shoulder as he passed.

The lights came up and Skyler, Jeff, Kaleb, Jason and Sully were all on the stage. They danced to the bass guitar for a few minutes before the lights began to pulse again, making the crowd explode with screams. The music changed and the boys changed their dance until the familiar music began to play. Skyler made his way to the front of the dancers and began to sing.

"I hold on so nervously to me and my drink. I wish it was coolin' me. But so far has not been good. It's been shitty. ANd I feel awkward as I should. This club has got to be the most pretentious thing since I though you and me. Well I am imagining a dark lit place or your place or my place. Well I'm not paralyzed but I seem to be struck by you. I want to make you move, because your standin' still. If your body matches what your eyes can do you'll probably move right through me on my way to you," he sang, dancing around with the boys.

They danced around the stage in their leather jackets, making the front six rows roar and surge closer. Skyler and Kaleb danced to one side of the stage, clapping their hands over their heads as Jason and Sully imitated them going in the opposite direction. The crowd began to clap along with them as they made their way back to center stage and Skyler began to sing again.

"I hold out for one more drink before I think I'm looking too desperately. But so far has not been fun. I should just stay home. If one thing really means one this club will hopefully be closed in three weeks. That would be cool with me. Well I'm still imagining a dark lit place or your place or my place. Well I'm not paralyzed but I seem to be struck by you. I want to make you move because you're standing still. If your body matches what you eyes can do you'll probably move right through me on my way to you," he sang and took off his jacket. He threw it behind him and went on.

"Well I'm not paralyzed but I seem to be struck by you. I want to make you move because your still standing still. If your body matches what your eyes can do you'll probably move right through me on my way to you. I'm not paralyzed but I seem to be struck by you. I want to make you move because you're standing still. If your body matches what your eyes can do you'll probably move right through me on my way to you. You'll probably move right through me on my way to you. Yeah, you'll probably move right through me on my way to you!" he sang and the music stopped.

The crowd screamed as the bass guitar began to play again. The rest of the dancers came back to the stage doing back flips and forward flips, making the crowd scream as the lights brightened. The screens on either side of the stage showed nothing but Skyler as he stood in the center of the stage and tapped his foot. Soon a drum began to beat in time with his tapping. The dancers all made their way back off the stage being just as acrobatic as they had when they arrived. The crowd was still screaming and Skyler was smiling at them. He stepped forward and began to sing.

"Hope you don't believe a word of all the things I know you've heard about me," he sang, making the crowd scream louder. "Really just a pack of lies. You see the truth before you eyes about me. Hard to keep it straight, the real from the ruse. Probably way too late, but what can I do?

"Its not what you think, not what you hear, not what you see its just the image. Its all on a string, all fantasy, not really me its just the image!" he sang and began to dance around in a circle as the crowd screamed.

"Would it be too much to ask that you just give me the chance to prove it? Or would it only be a waste of time to try and make you change your mind and use it? What I've been searching for isn't what I thought. Probably way too late, you're all I got. Its not what you think, not what you hear, not what you see its just the image. Its all on a string, all fantasy, not really me its just the image. Just the image," he sang and danced around the front of the stage, shaking his ass and thrusting his hips at the crowd. They screamed at him as he made his way back to the center of the stage again.

"Its not what you think, not what you hear, not what you see its just the image. Its all on a string, all fantasy, not really me its just the image. Yeah, its just the image," he sang and the music stopped as the lights went out.

He ran off the stage passing the dancers as he ran. They were all dressed in hand painted jeans and jackets and he had to change into his own. He ran past Carlos and his father and into his dressing room. Sweat was pouring off of him and he was panting as he stripped out of the black costume and into the jeans and jacket. No shirt was needed for this one. He'd just be shirtless for the song after the next anyway. He ran back to the platform and smiled when he saw that the stairs were in place.

"Dizzy!" he screamed as he came to the top of the stairs. The crowd screamed as he made his way down the stairs singing. "I'm so dizzy my head is spinnin'. Like a whorl pool it never ends. And its you, yeah, making it spin. You're making me dizzy," he sang as the music played and he reached the bottom of the stairs. He joined the dancers and fell in with the dance moves as the lights flashed and the stairs disappeared.

"First time that I saw you, girl, I knew that I just had to make you mine. But its so hard to talk to you with fellahs hangin' round you all the time. I want you for my sweet pet, but you keep playing hard to get. Goin' round in circles all the time," he sang, smiling at the crowd.

"Dizzy! I'm so dizzy my head is spinnin'. Like a whorl pool it never ends. And its you, yeah, makin' it spin. You're makin' me dizzy!' he cried.

They danced around with Sully and Jeff doing back flips at the ends of the line. Skyler and the others began to dance in circles as the music continued to play. He spun faster and faster until he came to a stop at the front of the stage.

"I finally got to talk to you, and I told you just exactly how I felt. Then I held your close to me and kissed you and my heart began to melt. Girl you've got control of me, 'cause I'm so dizzy I can't see. I need to call a doctor for some help. Dizzy! I'm so dizzy my head is sipinnin'. Like a whorl pool it never ends. And it's you, yeah, makin' it spin. You're makin' me dizzy! My head is spinnin'. And it's you, yeah, makin' it spin. Like a whorl pool it never ends. You're makin me DIZZY!"

The music stopped and the lights went low but didn't go off. Skyler, Jeff and Kaleb took off their jackets and the others carried them away as they made their way off the stage. The three moved to the center of the stage as the lights began to pulse and the music began again. The crowd screamed, recognizing the song as Skyler began to sing.

"I'm just a simple man in a high tech digital land. I really try to understand all the powers that rule this land. They say Mister Mann's big butt is boss. A poor man can't find a job. In a world of post modern fad what was good now is bad. It's not hard to understand, just follow this simple plan. Follow your heart, your intuition. It will lead you in the right direction. Let go of your mind, your intuition. It's easy to find, just follow your heart baby," he sang as they danced and rocked their pelvises, making the crowd scream.

"You look at me, but you're not quite sure. Am I it or could you get more? You learned cool from magazines. You learned love from the wrong scenes. If you want me, let me know. I promise I won't say no. Just follow your heart, your intuition. It will lead you in the right direction. Let go of your mind, your intuition. It's easy to find. Just follow your heart baby," he sang and danced back and forth with the others as the music played.

They lined up at the front of the stage and one by one swung their hips back and forth with the hands on the sides of their heads. The crowd screamed and cheered. One by one they hit their knees, raising their pelvises three times with their hands still on the sides of their heads. Skyler was the first one up and he spun in a complete circle as the others got to their feet and mimicked him one at a time.

"You got something that you want me to sell? Sell your sin; just cash in," he sang. "You got something that you want me to tell? You'll love me; wait and see."

He moved to the front of the stage again and ran his hands over his torso slowly as he sang, "If you want me don't play games. I promise it won't be in vain." He rolled his pelvis three times, saying, "Uh-uh-uh!"

As the others lined up beside him he sang the chorus again, "Follow your heart, your intuition. It will lead you in the right direction. Let go of your mind, your intuition. It's easy to find, just follow your heart baby." He rocked his hips as he sang slower: "Just follow your heart, your intuition. It will lead you in the right direction."

They came together again and the three of them sang together: "Let go of your mind, your intuition. Just follow your heart baby."

"Follow your heart, your intuition. It will lead you in the right direction. Let go of your mind, your intuition. It's easy to find, just follow your heart baby," he sang alone as they danced in place at the front of the stage, rotating their pelvises and running their hands slowly down their bodies from their necks to their crotch. Once there they each thrust their pelvises out three times.

"Follow your heart, your intuition. It will lead you in the right direction," sang Skyler and they all stopped as the music stopped. The crowd roared and surged forward again as the lights went out.

When the lights came back up Skyler was alone on the stage, sitting on a stool with a spotlight shining down on him. The music slowed and the crowd lit cigarette lighters and waved them over their heads as he began to sing.

"I tried to talk to you but you walked away. Guess you didn't need to hear what I had to say. Can't get your attention anymore to say this. It's talking to you that I really miss. You tell your friends that it's over for us. I think that's something that we should discuss. No telling why we can't just be together now. I'd fix the problem if you'd just tell me how. Love can't grow between hearts in armor. For us there'll never be an ever after. I try and try but you won't listen to me. How can I show you what I want you to see?" he sang, pouring his heart out to the audience as they waved their lighters and swayed back and forth.

"The house was empty when I came home that night. I looked and looked but you were out of sight. How do you expect me to keep forgiving you for every single little thing you always do? When you won't tell me what the problem is I just know that we can't go on like this. I'll go away so you can have your space since you can't even tell me face to face. Love can't grow between hearts in armor. For us there'll never be an ever after. I try and try but you won't listen to me. How can I show you what I want you to see?" he sang and then stood up and walked to the edge of the stage and sat down.

He reached out and touched the hands of the people in the pit, barely grazing the tips of their fingers as the music played on. The spotlight had followed him and the screens magnified his face as he sat there. The look on his face was solemn and pained. This song meant something very important to him but he'd never tell anyone what it was about. How could he tell anyone that it was actually about his relationship with Brian?

"So it's over now and you've already moved on. I'm getting used to the fact that you're gone. Give back my heart since you don't want it now instead of trashing it all over town. You know I loved you with every part of me, but you didn't want to make it possible for us to be. Now I'm moving on, you had your chance. Don't even try to change the circumstance. Love can't grow between hearts in armor. Pick up the pieces of this disaster. Go away from me and don't come back. Stay away from all the places you know I'm at. For us there'll never be an ever after, because love can't grow between hearts in armor," he sang and the music stopped.

He sat there and smiled at them as they looked up at them. They were chanting his name as the music began to play again. The chanting became a roar as the crowd recognized the tune being played. Skyler put his head back and covered his eyes with his hands. This was another song about someone he loved. It wasn't about him when he'd written it, but time and circumstance had gave it a significance. He thought of his broken relationship with JC as he began to sing.

"Out of my sight, but the vision is still the same. Out of my mind, but the memory remains unchanged. Stones thrown in anger hold twice the hurt. Return to sender could only make things worse. You've got to break these chains around my heart. 'Cause I've been lonely too long. You've got to break these chains around my heart, so I can finally get on with my life," he sang and actually began to cry.

The crowd screamed for him and the lights played on him. The screens were filled with his tear streaked face. The somber music played on as he sat there, staring at the crowd. Crying wasn't part of the show, but he couldn't help it. He'd loved JC with his whole heart, but that hadn't been enough to make JC trust him. In the end it was that mistrust that tore them apart. He had Jeff now, but he was terrified that it wouldn't last.

"Don't ask me why. Why I've lived with this all alone, locked up inside, and it's cutting me to the bone. Love is a stranger avoiding me. Beware of danger's the only sign I see. You've got to break these chains around my heart, 'cause I've been lonely too long. You've got to break these chains around my heart, so I can finally get on with my life," he sang and then stood up to sing the bridge.

"Are you listening?" he sang louder. "Is there something that you'd like to say? Am I getting through? Are you just gonna leave me this way?"

He turned around and walked back to the stool. He sat down as the music played on. He was still crying, and he knew that if he wasn't careful he'd be sobbing so hard he wouldn't be able to sing. He almost was sobbing that hard when it was time to sing again.

"You've got to break these chains around my heart before it tears me in two. You've got to break these chains around my heart. That's all I'm asking of you. You've got to break these chains around my heart, 'cause I've been lonely too long. You've got to break these chains around my heart, so I can finally get on with my life. So I can finally get on with my life," he sang, and the lights went out again.

He got up and left the stage in the dark as the music changed to a techno wail. He raced past Carlos before the man had a chance to say anything. He was in his dressing room and changing into the fringed pants before anyone could say a word. He knew that the dancers were already on the stage, doing their dance. He had maybe a minute to get back out there so there was no time to talk about his emotional display on stage. He ran back to the top of the stairs that had been moved back in place and began to sing as the music changed again.

"I dream of rain, ah lay, ah lay. I dream of gardens in the desert sand. I wake in pain, ah lay, ah lay. I dream as love as time runs through my hand," he sang as he made his way down the stairs with the crowd screaming and the laser lights spinning and pulsing.

"I dream of fire, ah lay, ah lay. These dreams are tied to a horse that will never tire. And in the flames, ah lay, ah lay. Those shadows play in the shape of a man's desire. This desert rose, ah lay, ah lay. Each of these veils, a secret promise. No sweet perfume ever tortured me more than this," he sang as he joined the dancers and danced across the stage.

"And as she turns, ah lay, ah lay. This way she moves in the logic of all my dreams. This fire burns, ah lay, ah lay. I realize that nothing's as it seems. I dream of rain, ah lay, ah lay. I dream of gardens in the desert sand. I wake in vain, ah lay, ah lay. I dream of love as time runs through my hand. I dream of rain, ah lay, ah lay. I lift my gaze to empty skies above. I close my eyes, and the rare perfume is the sweet intoxication of love," he sang and then the music changed slightly as he and the dancers danced a different dance across the stage. The crowd screamed at them as they moved. Finally the music changed back to the song again.

"I dream of rain, ah lay, ah lay. I dream of gardens in the desert sand. I wake in vain, ah lay, ah lay. I dream of love as time runs through my hand. Sweet desert rose, ah lay, ah lay. Each of these veils, a secret promise. This desert flower, ah lay, ah lay. No sweet perfume ever tortured me more than this. Sweet desert rose, ah lay, ah lay. This memory of Eden haunts us all. This desert flower, it's rare perfume is the sweet intoxication of the fall!" he sang as the music played on. The lights went out and the screens began to show scenes from The Eye Of The World.

"One of you is the dragon reborn," said the voice of Catherine Zeta Jones over the speakers, and the crowd screamed again.

Skyler was off stage getting dressed in his village farmer costume as more scenes from the movie played on the screens. He walked back on stage just as the music began and the actors on the screens grew silent. The spotlight found him and the crowd screamed again.

"I thought my life was already complete," he sang, smiling at the screaming crowd. "Maybe I've been to blind to see. The truth inside my soul that's waiting for me to show if what they say about me is true. I know what they want me to do, but the eye of the world is on me now, expecting things of me and letting me down. All I am is hard to see. This is only a part of me. What you want me to show. Where you want me to go. Just remember I'm more than what you see when you depend on just a part of me," he sang as the screens filled with the action shots from the film. He'd gotten permission from the writer to use these images as long as he didn't show the entire movie. Fifteen scenes were chosen for use in this number. They'd been chopped up so that they'd last throughout the song just like the video.

"Monsters roam the world today. All I want to remember is yesterday. Am I ready for all of the glory now? The man inside can't even show me how. If this is where my destiny lies, with battles waged across the sky, love and loss are now my path; a life once lived so far in the past. All I am is hard to see. This is only a part of me. What you want me to show. Where you want me to go. Just remember I'm more than what you see. When you depend on just a part of me," he sang and let the music play on as more images filled the screens. He walked back to the stool again and sat back down as he heard his queue in the music.

"Will I make it to the final duel, a battle waged at Shayol Ghul? The dark on waits to strike me down. Fear turns the wheel around. Do I believe that any of this is real? The dragon reborn will seal his plight, blast him back into the blight. All I am is hard to see. This is only a part of me. What you want me to show. Where you want me to go. Just remember I'm more than what you see when you depend on just a part of me," he sang, spreading his arms wide. "This is just a part of me."

The music stopped and the crowd roared again. Skyler lifted his arms above his head and jumped up and down as he smiled at them. This feeling he could only get from an audience was worth everything. This was what he needed to fully recover. He just didn't know how to make his family understand.

"Tokyo!" he cried, making them scream again. "I love you!"

The band began to play again, and the crowd recognized the tune. They screamed as he made his way to the front of the stage and sat back down on the edge. He reached out again to touch the tips of fingers in the pit as the music played to his queue.

"How can I just let you walk away, just let you leave without a trace when I stand here taking every breath with you, ooh? You're the only one who really knew me at all. How can you just walk away from me when all I can do is watch you leave, 'cause we shared the laughter and the pain. We even shared the tears. You're the only one who really knew me at all. So take a look at me now. There's just an empty space. There's nothing left here to remind me, just the memory of your face. Well take a look at me now. There's just an empty space, and you coming back to me is against the odds and that's what I've got to face," he sang, rocking back and forth to the music.

"I wish I could just make you turn around, turn around and see me cry. There's so much I need to say to you, so many reasons why you're the only one who really knew me at all. So take a look at me now. There's just an empty space. There's nothing left here to remind me, just the memory of your face. Well take a look at me now, 'cause there's just an empty space. But to wait for you is all I can do, and that's what I've got to face. Take a good look at me now, 'cause I'll still be standing here. And you coming back to me is against all odds. It's the chance I've got to take. Take a look at me now," he sang and let the music play for a bit.

"Take a look at me now," he sang, putting his head down as the music stopped and the lights went out once again.

Kaleb made his way back out to the stage as the screens began to fill with images of lakes and valleys. There were forests and oceans, mountains and deserts. The music began another techno throb as the lights came back up and Skyler and Kaleb were side by side. The crowd screamed a deafening scream as they recognized the tune.

"Precious and fragile things, need special handling. My God what have we done to you?" sang Skyler as he stood next to Kaleb.

"We always try to share the tenderest of care. Now look what we've put you through," sang Kaleb, making the crowd scream. Skyler thought it was amazing how much Kaleb almost sounded like AJ.

"Things get damaged. Things get broken, but words left unspoken left us too brittle. There was so little left to give," they sang together as more and more images of beautiful landscapes filled the twin screens on either side of the stage. The music played as the pair stood motionless, staring out at the crowd.

"Angels with silver wings shouldn't know suffering. I wish I could take the pain for you," Skyler finally sang.

"If God has a master plan that only He understands I hope it's your eyes he seeing through," sang Kaleb.

"Things get damaged. Things get broken. I thought we'd manage, but words left unspoken left us too brittle. There was so little left to give," they sang together.

"I pray you learn to trust, have faith in both of us, and keep room in your hearts for two," sang Skyler as the crowd sang along with him. More lighters had appeared waving back and forth over their heads as he sang.

"Things get damaged. Things get broken. I thought we'd manage, but words left unspoken left us too brittle. There was so little left to give," they sang together and the lights went out as the music began to get faster.

They raced off the stage to get changed again. Skyler had very little time as the laser lights began their own little dance on the stage. Kaleb had more time, so he stepped into Skyler's dressing room and helped him change into the white three-piece suit. He slid the jacket over Skyler's shoulders as a make-up artist slicked his hair back. Skyler shook his head hard to make his hair come loose again and glared at the make-up artist before he bolted out of the dressing room door and back to the stage.

The piano had been lifted onto the stage while he was changing, and the music stopped as he sat down. A spotlight shone on him, making the crowd scream yet again. He began to play as they cheered on.

"We agreed that it was over now the lines have all been drawn. The vows we made begin to fade, but now they're gone. I put your pictures in a shoe box and my gold ring in the drawer. I'm not supposed to love you anymore," he sang. He played the song with ease as the spotlight tried to blind him. The crowd was swaying again with lighters lit above their head. From his seat at the piano he couldn't see their faces. It just looked like a sea of floating flames.

"Now everyone says they're jealous of this freedom that I found. They would be, they would be out on the town, and they say they can't imagine what on earth I'm waiting for. I'm not supposed to love you anymore," he sang, closing his eyes and letting his fingers dance across the piano keys.

"Oh I shouldn't care and wonder where and how you are, but I can't hide this hurt inside my broken heart. I'm fighting back emotions that I've never fought before," he sang louder. "'Cause I'm not supposed to love you anymore."

He played on for a time, letting his mind focus on the music. He knew exactly when it would be time to sing again. This was his most favorite song to play ont he piano. He looked out at the sea of floating flames and his heart swelled.

"Now I'm writing you this letter, and it's killing me tonight that I agreed when you believed it wasn't right. I couldn't sleep up on the bed, so I'm down here on the floor. Well I'm not supposed to love you anymore. Oh I shouldn't care and wonder where and how you are, but I can't hide this hurt inside my broken heart. I'm fighting back emotions that I've never fought before, 'cause I'm not supposed to love you anymore. No I'm not supposed to love you anymore," he sang and played the song to its end.

He stood up from the piano, loosening his tie. He slipped out of his jacket and unbuttoned his shirt half way down. The crowd screamed at him as the put his jacket and tie on top of the piano and waved goodbye to it as it was lowered into the stage floor. Sully John came out to the stage with his saxophone and the band began to play again. Skyler walked to the center of the front of the stage.

"Never knew I could feel like this," he sang just loud enough to be heard. "Like I've never seen the sky before. I want to vanish inside your kiss. Every day I love you more and more." He tapped his foot to the beat of the music and then sang louder. "Listen to my heart. Can you hear it sing, tellin' me to give you everything? Seasons may change Winter to Spring, but I love you until the end of time. Come what may. Come what may. I will love you until my dying day."

Sully played his saxophone as Skyler sat down and touched those fingertips again. The light was split in two so that Sully could be favored with a spotlight as well. Skyler threw his head back and began to sing again.

"Suddenly the world seems such a perfect place. Suddenly it moves with such a perfect grace," he got to his feet slowly as he sang. "Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste. It all revolves around you, and there's no mountain to high, no river too wide. Sing out this song and I'll be there by your side," he sang and let Sully blow his horn a little more as he walked back to the stool that had taken the place of the piano and sat down.

"Storm clouds may gather and stars may collide, but I love you until the end of time. Come what may. Come what may. I will love you until my dying day," he sang softly. Then, louder: "Oh, come what may. Come what may. I will love you, I will love you."

Sully played his sad tune on the saxophone as Skyler stood up again. He let the music play for a few seconds before he sang again. "Come what may. Oh, come what may. I will love you until my dying day."

The lights went down as Sully played the last bars of the song. The band began to play a slow beat that got a little faster every time they repeated it. Skyler took off his vest and then his shirt. He put the vest back on and jacket over it as Jeff and Kaleb came back to the stage dressed just like him but in black.

"Just think about it," he said just loud enough for his headset to pick it up, and the crowd screamed again. He smiled at Kaleb and Jeff as the lights came back up.

"Just think about it," he said again as they began to do a little slow dance. "You'll get it."

James and Mitch picked at their guitars as Skyler and his dancers danced to the front of the stage. Denny, Chet, Paul and Adam picked up as Skyler began to sing.

"Lately I've been skeptical, silent when I would used to speak. Distant from all around me who witnessed me fail and become weak. Life is overwhelming, heavy is the head that wears the crown. I'd love to be the one to disappoint you when I don't fall down. But you don't understand when I'm attempting to explain, because you know it all and I guess things will never change. But you might need my hand when falling in your hole. Your disposition I'll remember when I'm letting go of you and me, we're through, and rearranged," he sang and the three of them began to dance a little faster as the music picked up a bit.

"It seems that you're not satisfied. There's too much on your mind. So you leave and I can't believe all the bullshit that I find. Life is overwhelming. Heavy is the head that wears the crown. I'd love to be the one to disappoint you when I don't fall down. But you don't understand when I'm attempting to explain, because you know it all I guess things will never change. But you might need my hand when falling down your hole. Your disposition I'll remember when I'm letting go of you and me, we're through, and rearranged," he sang as they danced.

He came to a stop in front of Kaleb and Jeff and sang: "You and me we're through, and rearranged. Rearranged."

He joined them in their dance for a few second before singing again. They stood in a line and danced in place.

"You're no good for me. Thank God it's over," he sang before stepping in front of them to stand and glare at the audience.

"You make believe that nothing is wrong until you're cryin'. Yeah you make believe that life is so long until you're dyin'. You make believe that nothing is wrong until you're cryin', cryin' on me. You make believe that life is so long until you're dyin', dyin' on me! But you don't understand when I'm attempting to explain, because you know it all and I guess things will never change. But you might need my hand when falling down your hole. Your disposition I'll remember when I'm letting go of you and me, we're through, and rearranged. You're no good for me. Than God it's over. Rearranged," he sang and they danced as the crowd screamed.

"Just think about it. You'll get it," he said as the music stopped.

The rest of the dancers marched onto the stage in military uniforms, stopping to salute Skyler as Jason handed him a white captain's hat. He put it on as the band began to play Taps. The crowd chanted his name again as the dancers marched around the stage. They surrounded Skyler as Kaleb and Jeff returned again dressed in military uniforms as well.

"Step by step, heart to heart, left right left, we all fall down," sang Skyler as his dancers began to fall to the stage floor. "Like toy soldiers."

The music changed and the crowd cheered again as the dancers slowly got to their feet, shaking their heads as if they were disoriented. Skyler walked in front of them as they began to form a line. They marched after him as he began to sing again.

"It wasn't my intention to mislead you. It never should have been this way. What can I say? It's true, I did extend the invitation. I never knew how long you'd stay," he sang.

"When you hear temptation call, it's your heart that takes, takes the fall," he sang with Kaleb and Jeff.

"Won't you come out and play with me," cried all of the dancers.

"Step by step, heart to heart, left right left we all fall down like toy soldiers," sang Skyler as he walked in front of his line of marching dancers. "Bit by bit torn apart. We never win, but the battle wages on for toy soldiers." He stopped, and the dancers marched in place.

"It's getting hard to wake up in the morning. My head is spinning constantly. How can it be? How could I be so blind to this addiction? If I don't stop, the next one is going to be me. Only emptiness remains. It replaces all, all the pain," he sang.

"Won't you come out and play with me," cried all of the dancers.

"Step by step, heart to heart, left right left we all fall down like toy soldiers," he sang as he started to walk across the stage again with the dancers marching behind him. "Bit by bit torn apart. We never win, but the battle wages on for toy soldiers."

The music played on as they walked back across the stage. Skyler put his head back as he walked and sang out, "We never win."

The marching was timed to the music so well that by the time they reached the center of the stage on their way back across, Skyler knew it was time to pick up the song again.

"Only emptiness remains. It replaces all, all the pain," he sang.

"Won't you come out and play with me," cried the dancers.

"Step by step, heart to hart, left right left we all fall down like toy soldiers," he sang. "Bit by bit torn apart. We never win, but the battle wages on for toy soldiers," he sang and the music stopped. He made his way just off stage as the dancers marched in place.

"Step by step, heart to heart, left right left we all fall down," they cried as one by one they fell to the stage again and the lights went out.

As soon as the last dancer was off stage, Skyler was driven onto the stage in a Chevy convertible that was remotely controlled. The lights went back up and the band began to play again as Skyler got out of the car.

"Your friends may lie. The truth can come from strangers. If I knew why we wouldn't be in this danger. Leaning out the window of my car, and wishing on another lucky star," he sang as he sat on the hood of the car.

"Life is long. It is not made to measure. You will go on the same in pain and pleasure. Wonder how we ever got this far by wishing on another lucky star. Life goes on as sure as the sky. It's come and gone in the wink of an eye. You leave your hope on the wings of a lie: 'You will never die'," he sang and Mitch and Adam played their guitar duet as he climbed down off the hood of the car.

"The world is cold," he sang when the guitars went back to the actual tune of the song. "A heart gets torn and tattered. The one you hold, it can be dropped and shatter leaning out the window of my car and wishing on another lucky star. Life goes on as sure as the sky. It's come and gone in the wink of an eye. You leave your hope on the wings of a lie: 'You will never die'. Leaning out the window of my car and wishing on another lucky star."

He walked back over to the car and sang, "There's a car outside."

The music changed as the lights went down. The car was removed from the stage and Skyler ran back up the stairs as they were rolled into place. The dancers all came back to the stage as the lights came back up, clapping their hands over their heads to the beat of the drums. Skyler waited for the spotlight to shine on him before he began his journey slowly down the stairs.

"We've been here too long, tryin' to get along, pretendin' that you're oh so shy. I'm a natural man doin' all I can. My temperature is runnin' high," he sang as he slowly came down the stairs. The dancers were standing in three rows of six with their hands clasped behind their backs moving their hips back and forth. They were dressed in electric blue short-shorts with white vests and captain's hats. The white lights kept moving back and forth illuminated them all and then plunging them into darkness.

"Cry at night, no one in site, and we got so much to share," sang Skyler as he made his way through the lines of dancers. "Talkin's fine if you got the time, but I ain't got the time to spare, yeah. Do you wanna touch?"

"Yeah!" cried the dancers as one.

"Do you wanna touch?" sang Skyler as he began to move his hips back and forth at the front of the stage.

"Yeah!" cried the dancers.

"Do you wanna touch me there? Where? Do you wanna touch?" sang Skyler.

"Yeah!" cried the dancers.

"Do you wanna touch?" he sang.

"Yeah!" they cried.

"Do you wanna touch me there? Where?" he sang.

"There! Yeah!" they cried.

"Yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah!" cried Skyler. "Every girl and boy needs a little joy. All you do is sit and stare. Beggin' on my knees, baby won't you please run your fingers through my hair. My, my, my, whiskey and rye. Don't it make you feel so fine? Right or wrong, don't it turn you on? Cant you see we're waistin' time?"

"Yeah!" cried the dancers.

"Do you wanna touch?" sang skyler.

"Yeah!" cried the dancers.

"Do you wanna touch?" he sang.

"Yeah!" they cried in reply.

"Do you want touch me there? Where? Do you wanna touch?" he sang.

"Yeah!" they cried.

"Do you wanna touch?"

"Yeah!" they cried.

"Do you wanna touch me there? Where?" he sang.

"There! Yeah!" they cried. "Yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah."

"Do ya? Do ya?" he sang. "Do you wanna touch me there?"

"Yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah," sang the dancers.

"Touch me there. Do you wanna touch me there?" he sang.

"There! Yeah!" cried the dancers and the music stopped.

The lights began to blink on and off as Skyler and the dancers removed their vests. The music began to play a different tune and Denny and Chet began to pound out sounds on their keyboards. Skyler and the dancers removed their hats as one as the music began to get faster. They all grabbed the waist bands of their shorts and pulled, ripping them off so that they now stood in white Speedos and black boots.

"There's things that you guess," sang Skyler as he made his way around each of the dancers and they continued to stand with their hands behind their heads. Now they were thrusting their pelvises out over and over. "And things that you know. There's boys you can trust, and girls that you don't. There's little things you hide and little things that you show. Sometimes you think you're gonna get it, but you don't and that's just the way it goes."

The dancers moved to stand two and two with their backs to each other as they thrust their pelvises out. Skyler stopped at the front of the stage and began to sing in a higher voice. "I swear I won't tease you, won't tell you no lies. I don't need no Bible just look in my eyes. I've waited so long, baby, now that we're friends. Every man's got his patience, and here's where mine ends.

"I want your sex," he sang and the dancers began to dance against each other, back to back. "I want your . . . I want your sex."

They all broke formation and danced around, grabbing their crotches and twisting their bodies to the music. Skyler spun around in a circle and stopped facing the audience.

"It's playin' on my mind. It's dancin' on my soul. It's takin' so much time, so why don't you just let me go? I'd really like to try. Oh, I'd really like to know when you tell me you're gonna regret it, then I tell you that I love you, but you still say no!

"I swear I won't tease you, won't tell you no lies. Don't need no Bible just look in my eyes. I've waited so long, baby, out in the cold.

"I want your sex. I want your love. I want you . . . Sex!"

They danced around each other in circles as Skyler sang in a higher voice: "It's natural. It's chemical. It's logical; habitual. It's sensual, but most of all sex is something we should do. Sex is something for me and you. Sex is natural, sex is fun. Not everybody does it, but everybody should. Sex is natural, sex is fun. Sex is best when it's . . ."

"One on one," cried the dancers.

"I'm not your father," he sang, dancing around the front of the stage. "I'm not your brother. Talk to your sister. I am a lover. Oh! C-c-c-c-come on! What's your definition of dirty, baby? What do you consider pornography? Don't you know I love you 'till it hurts me, baby? Don't you think it's time you had sex with me? What's your definition of dirty, baby? What do you consider pornography? Don't you know I love you 'till it hurts me, baby? Don't you think it's time you had sex with me? Sex with me."

"Sex with me!" cried the dancers.

"Mm, have sex with me," he sang, thrusting his pelvis out. "C-c-c-c-come on!"

The music stopped and the lights went out. The crowd roared and stomped their feet as the spotlight shown down on Skyler.

"Goodnight, Tokyo!" he cried and the spotlight winked out.
